School starts at 7:50am sharp. Drop off time (between about 7am and 8am) and special events are by far the busiest times of day for traffic.

Many families drop off curbside or in the designated area of the parking lot. Some parents prefer to park and escort their children to class, especially in the first days of school. Make sure you don't park in areas that are designated with No Parking signs, Passenger Loading Zone signs and/or red curbs.

In Fall of 2007, new signs went up and the Passenger Loading Zones were dramatically enlarged. The signs created some ambiguity on the Willard side of Madre, but in fact the no parking zone now extends all the way from the fire plug on the south end to the crossing guard on the north end.

Pay special attention to where you park because there are frequent sweeps for parking violations. Tickets are generally $50 and quickly accrue additional penalties if left unpaid. In the map shown below, Red Zones indicate no parking, Orange Zones indicate very popular and busy parking, and Green Zones indicate less crowded areas for parking.

During non-peak times of the day, including pickup times, parking tends to be a bit easier, but always make sure to read the signs to avoid a parking ticket.
